The Obsidian Chamber by Douglas Preston
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Slow beginning, but as good most of the other ones in this series.
Although I did not like the NAZI-sub-plot a few books back.
And I think the series should come to an end (being one book behind in the series, this may well be case, or planned for a few books in the future).
Surprises and twists I did not see coming, also there was the feeling, I missed an entire book in between, as I could not remember the drowning and story around that. As most of it was retold, I did not bother to look for the missing part, and checking here, I did read all books and even a few short stories and extras (EMail infos).
Highly recommended for fans of the series, should have read all, as it is not really to be read as a stand-alone, although some people may differ on that. And not so sure, wether 5 stars are warranted, but I feel like it today. On another day this might have gotten 4 stars from me.
